When the NBA said he had to turn it the right side up or face a punishment, Rondo stopped wearing it completely. Following this incident, the NBA announced that uniform rules no longer allowed for players to wear their headband upside down a couple of years down the road Rajon Rondo started wearing the headband on and off. As for this NBA season, after recently joining the Chicago Bulls, it seems like Rondo is back to his headband date. Good thing he is because apparently he plays better while wearing a headband, while it's cool that Rondo was not back to wearing the headband. It'S still strange as to why the NBA bans the upside down headband, if any of you guys know the answer to this, please let me know in the comment section down below during a game against the Oklahoma City, Thunder in 2014, LeBron James received a broken nose, While he was hit in the face by Serge Ibaka, while going up for a dunk while most NBA players such as Rip Hamilton, would put a clear plastic cover over their injury for protection, James decided to wear a darker version with a different texture in his first Game with the new mask, LeBron scored a game-high 31 points along with four rebounds and four assists and 37 minutes https://uscasinosguide.com/casino-bonuses/.
Many NBA fans joked that perhaps LeBrons mask was like Superman's cape. The Miami Heat even began selling t-shirts with LeBron James face wearing the mask, while Kobe Bryant went for a similar dark cover when he had his own nose broken in 2012. The league was quick to step in when it came to LeBron Envy. A spokesman. Tim Frank said it is our understanding LeBron used the black mask because a clear one he was comfortable with wasn't ready. The NBA, however, did not see any reason to celebrate. The league demanded that James switched back to the typical career mask before the team's next game. In 2013, then New York, Knicks guard Iman Shumpert, showed his support for the popular company adidas by getting their logo engraved in his haircut. Although Shumpert enjoyed his haircut, the league did not feel the same way according to league rules. Item 5, a section age of the NBA's rule book, says the only article, barring a commercial logo which can be worn by players is their shoes. The NBA banned players from getting any logos in their hair. Iman Shumpert had an adidas logo in his hair and was forced by the league to shave it, as this list goes on, you see how the league tries to get involved with fairs following this band. Iman Shumpert has this to say: sorry: NBA didn't realize there were branding issues with the logo. It'S not just hear that logos are banned from in the NBA. It'S logos on any players, things except their shoes. Players can even get in trouble for having nike socks or an adidas wet band, and that concludes the video. As always, if you enjoyed this video and would like to see more content, make sure to leave a like and subscribe, if I made any mistakes or miss anything that you felt should have been included, let me know also, if you have any recommendations for future videos, Such as interesting stories or topics like this, please feel free to leave them in the comment section down below. As always, thanks for watching NBA insider If you ask me, oh and another thing, if any player is seen committing this dance during a game whether for fun or Teuton, another player, that's fair would be immediately find roughly 15,000. In 2009, long after rapping legend Nelly began the movement Dwyane Wade started wearing bandages, with images on them below his left eye during games. Even though the bandages were supposed to be used for their actual purpose of treating an injury rage, bandages became an early statement of independent Dwyane Wade would arrive and playing games wearing a bandage with multiple different design from the American flag to his Flash nickname and even As personal as his own last name Wade had them all, it became something even the fans began to appreciate, but that wasn't the case for the NBA. The league decided to ban waste stylish bandages because they weren't being worn for healthcare purposes.
So much for creativity back when MBA champion and two-time all-star, Caron Butler played for the Dallas Mavericks. One of the first things many people noticed is that the guard had loved to choose straws during game and, of course, the NBA notices as well. So what did the NBA decide to? Do you guessed it? In 2010 they banned Koran straw, apparently, for the sake of his own well-being, the NBA told him to leave his straws at home and that they were serious. It'S against the rules Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said at the time it's a safety issue period. However, the strange habit was not new to Butler who reportedly had two plastic straws at a rate of 12 per game. Four years before, in March 2009, during an interview with nba.com Butler, even admitted that he started chewing straws and games as a teenager, he said it calms me down. Then it became one of those things you keep doing, unfortunately, for the league, despite their attempt to stop him from touring. Straws Butler still continues the tradition at home. He doesn't think it's a dangerous habit. Butler had become so addicted to straw, chewing that he would send his wife to stop at McDonald's and pick up roughly 60 straws every single day. His addiction had become so strong that whenever he would be given a straw, he could tell where it was from when given a straw from a 7-eleven store, he replied. I don't do this, I don't do 7-eleven straws or anything McDonald's, Burger, King. That'S it not Wendy's. Maybe Subway's because their straw is thick clear with a clear wrapping, but that's it McDonald's, Burger, King and Cheesecake factories got the black straws, they're kind of fixed, that's good quality straws good thing. The NBA got rid of his tradition on the court kind of makes me think what other strange addictions NBA players may have. Mba players use headbands for many reasons, whether it's to keep sweat out of their eyes, folding back their hair or even for hiding their hair lines. The headband is a popular choice for many players in the league. However, a couple years back, a new trend would begin in the NBA in relation to the use of headband in 2010, while playing for the Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo began wearing his headband with the NBA logo turned upside down. The MBA has had many specific rules and bands throughout league history, while some MBA bands make sense. Many others have more curious and strange explanations as to why they have been forbidden. We have witnessed many bands, such as clothing and specific shoes from being worn, but some are much more strange than others today, on NBA insider, I take a look at some of the most bizarre bands in NBA history.
Welcome to NBA insider back in 2004, almost all NBA players would listen to music on their brand new iPods before games or during practice. Back then, it was a cool thing to do and it gave players a chance to plug in their earbuds or headphones and focus on their skill, while listening to their song of choice. A good example of this would be Vince Carter for Vince Carter. Pregame warm-ups seemed like an ideal place to use his iPod, unfortunately, for Vince, the NBA hated music, fun style and any combination of those three elements: the league banned Vince Carter and any other players from the use of earbuds or headphones in regards to Vince Carter and His earbuds, a spokesman for the NBA, said we informed them that he can no longer do that. That'S it! That'S all. They said no explanation as to why, just that he can no longer do it, while other sports promote the use of headphones, such as beats. The NBA has completely forbidden headphones of any kind while on the court. This includes during warm-ups shoot around and even as far as in the locker room way back when the Minnesota Timberwolves were actually a good team, as in good enough to be one game away from reaching the NBA Finals in 2004, Kevin Garnett was one of the league's Most outstanding players in 2003, many years after their appearance and exit from the first round of the playoffs in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Wolves brought in veteran Sam Cassell and Latrell Spruill, the Timberwolves Cruz, their way through the playoffs as a number one seed. In the West, before losing to the Lakers in the constant finals, however slip Saunders, the coach at the time claimed that Sam Cassell actually injured himself while doing the big balls, dance and Game seven of the Conference semifinals against the King. For those of you who don't know what the infamous big balls dance is, it's basically a dance in which a player would drop his hands to a private area while bouncing them up and down to imply the juggling of their private parts. In this situation, it's pretty clear as to why the NBA decided to ban the dance, although the dance itself is pretty creative. The cave paintings of Lascaux The kids were out and about roaming through the forests near Montignac. Suddenly, one of their dogs got a scent of something, and the teens followed it until they found the entrance to a cave. One of the teens went in, and to his surprise, he found himself looking at thousands of cave paintings.
Most of them are of large animals that lived in the area during the paleolithic era. They decided to keep this secret to themselves for a while so they could explore it. But eventually, they told their schoolteacher, who informed an expert about it, and the cave was later verified as very real and authentic. Eventually, it became a very public attraction, and was even labeled the "Sistine Chapel of Prehistoric Art". 1. The Dead Sea Scrolls As the story goes, in 1947 a Bedouin shepherd went into some caves to look for a stray sheep. SInce it was so dark he threw a rock inside and was surprised to hear the sound of clay shattering. He had found the jars containing the dead sea scrolls. They took the scrolls to an antiquities dealer and word started to spread that some ancient documents of importance had been found. The ancient papyrus contained biblical text over 1,000 years older than any existing biblical text. Similar finds were made in nearby caves over the next 10 years. There are some 800 documents with tens of thousands of fragments that were written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. And for those of you that guessed, The Dead Sea Scrolls have been shown all over the world, and are considered the greatest manuscript find in history, and one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century. The shepherds sold the manuscripts for around $50. Now a tiny scrap of the Dead Sea Scrolls is valued at millions and the larger scrolls are priceless. So why are these scrolls so important? They are invaluable to our understanding of the history of Judaism, the development of the Hebrew Bible, and the beginnings of Christianity. Many of the scrolls give insight into what The Bible was like 2,000 years ago. The Old Testament or Hebrew Bible is the canon of sacred scriptures of Jews and Christians alike, and it is also highly respected by Muslims. Thanks for watching! Maybe you might make the next discovery! Remember to subscribe and I’ll see you next time!! Bye! ! From the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, Nevada this is Poker Night in America. (upbeat jazzy horns and piano music) - Hello and welcome to Poker Night in America. I'm Chris Hanson alongside Joe Stapleton. We're coming at you from the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. Let's take a peek at our lineup and chip counts. A couple of big ballers buying in.
Ryan Fee and Kyle Bowker. Wow, $25,000! Look at all the money. (light jazzy horns music) - [Joe] So Bryn Kenney is straddling. That is a blind raise under the gun. Buys you position before the flop. (chips clicking) - Thank you. (chips clicking) - [Joe] Ryan Fee's raised that queen jack suited. Bowker is three-betting with 10, six suited. - [Chris] Welcome back to Poker Night in America, Kyle Bowker. - [Joe] Now if Fee were in position sic bo Malaysia. I can see him calling here out of position. He might actually put in another raise. (chips clunk) - [Jose] There it is. These two must have some history together to be playing this weird. Why not just see a flop with queen, jack suited? - 45. - [Dealer] Raise. - [Chris] Up to $4,500 from Kyle Bowker. (chips clicking) - [Joe] Yeah, let's just five bet call with queen, jack suited and 10, six of spades. Why not? - [Chris] I wonder if this is how the rest of the day is gonna be between these two. Kinda knocks the fun out of it for everybody else (laughs) when they've got that much money on the table. King, seven, nine is the flop. - [Joe] Both players miss but are probably gonna act like they didn't. Fee checks to the aggressor who checks behind. - [Chris] Jack on the turn so Fee pulls further ahead. - [Joe] Fee checks to him again. - [Chris] Double gutter now for Bowker on the turn. - Four. - [Dealer] $4,000. (chips clinking) - [Joe] Well, this is obviously a good bet if Ryan's thinking about it. My guess is Ryan thinks probably sometimes he's smashed, sometimes he's barely ahead and pretty much every time he's gonna be facing a massive river bet. And he folds the best hand. - [Chris] Nice job, Kyle Bowker. - [Joe] Can't really blame him. - [Chris] Some fireworks early on here in Las Vegas on day number three. (digital swoosh) Poker Night in America brought to you by Kimo Sabe Mezcal. - [Dealer] Raise $300. (chips clunking) - [Joe] Alright, Jennifer Tilly's playing cards. I love it. - You got in there quick on this one. (Jennifer laughs) - [Joe] Cindy Kerslake, she's Canadian, aye. - [Chris] She calls, Bryn Kenney calls. Esther Taylor calls. (chips clink) - [Joe] This is almost a family pot, it's just like my own family. Missing my dad at Christmas. - [Chris] And the flop brought to you by Kimo Sabe Mezcal it eight, 10, three, couple of clubs. Kenney with the nut flush draw, Tilly with the third nut flush draw. - Eight. (chips clinking) - [Joe] Except if she knew how ridiculously bad her reverse implied odds are she would not be betting $800 here. - [Chris] Well aren't you getting a little judgmental? (Joe laughs) - [Joe] I don't know what reversed implied odds means. - [Chris] You read that in a book again didn't you? - [Joe] I don't read books. So Bryn calls with the nut flush draw. Bryn's got Jen in jail here. - [Jennifer] Just me and the notorious Bryn Kenney. - [Joe] Oh, but somehow she catches good on the turn. - [Chris] Oh, that's fun bottom pair, good! They both check. - [Joe] And she catches good on the river, too! - [Chris] Stop. - [Joe] Bryn's got really no shot at not betting this. He's never gonna suspect Jen's this strong after playing it the way she did. (chips clink) I mean who backs them self with a two pair with queen, duece? - [Chris] Jen Tilly, that's who. - Six. - Oo! - Raise $6,000. - [Joe] Really tough for this raise to get called by a worse hand. (chips clicking) - Don't beat anything. - Nothing? - Nothing. Can't find the hand that I could beat in the deck. - Good lay down. If you can't beat anything in the deck. I'd say you made a good fold. (Bryn laughs) (digital swoosh) I love those reality shows, 'cause Phil did, I bet you. So we're always trying to guess, did the producers tell them to say that you know? Oo is that person hired, like somebody walking by? Is that a real person or is this somebody they hired? And then sometimes we can tell when they make the crew members go and like sit in the empty tables behind the people. Call. - [Joe] Jen's in with queen, nine. (chip thunks) The dean of Brynston, Bryn Kenney, he's in with two 10s. - [Jennifer] Angry fold from E.Tay. - [Esther] (laughs) I'm like trying to justify it. - [Joe] Ace high flop, two clubs. Bryn Kenney's got the best hand, he checks. Checks around to Jen. Oh poor Jennifer taking more stabs than the last three Chuckie movies combined. And losing nearly as much money. I think those movies do really well in Spain, actually. (chips clink) - [Chris] And he raises it to $1,450. (chips click) Run. Run, Tilly, run. (Joe laughs) Get away. - [Joe] Oh boy. - Raise, 45. - Oh, no. - [Joe] I think Bryn expects to be up against a draw a lot here, we could see another bet easily go in. (chip thuds) Just a call. - [Chris] All right, so we've got $9,500 in the pot, as we move to the turn. When Jennifer Tilly and Bryn Kenney. Tilly picks up a straight draw and gets a check from Kenney. Oh, you could take a free river right here. That's what she's gonna do. Straight doesn't come for Tilly, (Joe laughs) it's quads for Bryn Kenney. - [Joe] So now she has absolutely no chance of bluffing him off this hand. Let's see if he gives her the opportunity. - [Chris] No, he's got to bet. You can not let her check behind you. That would be the worse feeling. - 76. - [Chris] Other than when I was told I was gonna have to spend the night with you in Las Vegas tonight. (Joe laughs) I mean it's not bad for me, it's just bad for you. Like I snore. - Mm. You blinked like you didn't like the river. - [Joe] Oh, he liked the river. - I don't like the bet. (chips clinking) I think you have a busted flush though. - [Joe] Jen's read is worse here than the time I tried to tackle Infinite Jest. It's like 4,000 pages. - I should have bet the turn. (chips clink) - [Joe] Read a book sometimes, guys. These references are going over your heads. - All right, I didn't watch of the super high roller, I just watch you busting out and I thought, "I can beat that guy." (Joe laughing) - [Joe] Love her. - Ah. Nice, nice, Bryn Kenney move, Bryn Kenney. (Bryn laughs) - [Chris] Not a move. - Maybe I just have quads. - [Joe] Screw you Kenney, I'm going home. Poker Night is brought to you by Sit & Go 2.0. Go to Sitandgo20.net and claim your free Sit & Go 2.0 strategy ebook. - If Alan had the straddle on, you would have called. Alan. - You would owe another $100. - Why did you not put a straddle on? - He forgot, he just forgot. - I'll do my Tony G. Impersonation. You come to my game?! (everyone laughs) - You owe her $100. - [Esther] Yeah, give her $100, give the nice lady $100. (laughs) - No, that's all right. Okay I'm gonna, is that a straddle? - Yes. - Okay. I will now make it. Now that's more reasonable. - Okay, $300. (laughter) - I will give you a chance now to get three, three straddles. - Why didn't you give me - [Jennifer] a chance before when I had the pocket kings? - [Esther] Oh are you saying you don't have as good this time? Is that what you're saying? - That's like such a waste of kings. Here this is for you, for giving me those kings. - [Dealer] Thank you very much. - You know maybe somebody would have had. At least you played a two, five and then hit two pair. I would, uh! That's a good one for kings. - You have quads, now huh? (Esther laughs) - Mm, yes, I bet. - Don't bet. - I'm going to bet. - Don't bet. - Why? - 'Cause I have a king. - I don't care. - [Joe] I haven't felt this bad for Jen since Bullets Over Broadway split the Oscar vote. - Do you really have a king, Alan? No, he says he doesn't. - [Alan] Do you? - I can not tell a lie. Therefore I will say nothing. - I will find out now, whether you have king or not? - [Jennifer] By betting? - By checking. - I can't help myself. (laughs) - [Joe] Jen's still betting. Still firing with 6% equity. - Uh-oh. - [Joe] (laughs) Sometimes 6% gets there. Oh Alan, I haven't felt this bad for him since he was runner up in who looks like an eagle contest. If you’re an overachiever like I used to be, studying probably consumes your life. I never studied “hard” per se, but I always felt like I was doing school work. Living a life like this will minimize the amount of time you have for socializing, which is something that most college students crave over time. If you have been struggling to balance your study life and social life, there are a few simple things you can do to keep everything in check. Here are some tips to help you manage your scholastics and scho-laugh-sticks at the same time.
Block Scheduling One of the easiest ways to balance your social life and your study life is to block your time. Set aside certain days for school and certain days for friends. That way you can fully focus on whichever one you are working with at the time. Most people will use the weekdays to study and then use the weekends for partying. You could choose to do something else, as long as your schedule works well with your friends’ schedules. I am known as a robot around work because I effectively block my work time and personal time. I get a lot more done than most people because of that. You just have to figure out a way to do the same in your own life. Respectful Friends If you want to be a success in school, you need to surround yourself with people who are going to respect your studying time. When you have people in your life encouraging you to succeed, you have a much better chance at doing well in all areas of your life. Don’t hang out with people who want you to constantly goof off. They aren’t going to be the ones paying your bills when you get out of school. Once you establish a good group of friends, you should have no trouble studying and socializing as needed. Limited Internet When you log onto the computer for your online classes, work, or research, you may be tempted to pop onto Facebook to check your wall. In your mind, this is only going to take a few minutes of your time. In all actuality, it will probably take a good half hour or more once you start getting involved with the conversations. I had to shut down some of my social networking accounts because they were such a distraction for me. They prevented me from being efficient at work. You have to limit your internet usage to whatever you are doing at the moment. Don’t mesh the two sides of your life. If you get done with your studying early and you have time left for Farmville, by all means take it. Otherwise, you need to maintain your concentration so you can do well in your courses. Careful Combination In some cases, you may be able to combine your social life and study life through a study group or some sort of event along those lines. If you have people you like to hang out with in your classes, you could invite them over for a study session and a beer afterward. This is not always easy to do because some people get carried away with the socializing, not necessarily the studying. If you think you can focus though, you should be able to get the best of both words at this point. Think long and hard about your schedule and situation, and come up with a balance that truly works for you. If you are already working in “the real world”, you may find that it is difficult to go back to school and continue your education as initially planned. Now you have work, family and other responsibilities to be on top of: how could you possibly add schooling to the mix? This is where online degrees and online educational programs come to save the day. Many people are finding that this is the perfect way to continue their education even if they are already working and supporting a family.
Online Degrees Are Convenient A lot of the online degrees don’t require you to go sit in a classroom. Instead, you can do absolutely anything from the comfort of your own computer. Most of them even allow you to access the information that you need when it works best for you. For instance, if the only free time you have is at 2am, you will still be able to get your degree if you stick to it. Likewise, if you are one of those early risers, you could work on your degree at 6am or any time in between. You can work your schooling around your schedule instead of the other way around. Work at Your Own Pace Another great benefit of online degrees is that most of them will allow you to work at your own pace. So, if you are a slower learner or if you like to take your time, you will not feel rushed by the pace of a typical classroom! On the other end of the spectrum, if you find that you learn more quickly than many people, you’ll be able to complete the classes and coursework in the amount of time that works best for you. Online Degrees Are Often Very Affordable Another benefit of online degrees is that they have come to be very affordable. The reason for this is that there is not the overhead that you would have if you were going to a college. There is no rent to pay, no parking lots to pave or anything of that nature. Schooling is never going to be cheap but many online degree programs today are very reasonably priced, which makes them even more attractive to those who are looking for degree programs that are workable with their schedule and are also going to allow them to learn at the pace they are comfortable with. Online Degrees Don’t Require Travel Instead of having to fight city traffic or drive around a parking lot for hours trying to find a parking place, you can simply study and complete coursework for online degrees in the comfort of your own home. No need to worry about gas prices and how fast you can get from one place to another to make it to class on time. No travel is required, which means you’ll be comfortable when you study and you’ll never miss information because you were late or simply not able to make it to a class.
